I chose this video
Target audience: the main target audience for this music video are teenage girls from 16 to 25 years old.Genre is pop
Narrative/structure: the video is mainly singing, no performance or narrative.
Media language:
Camera- there is a variety of shots. For instance, extreme close ups, close ups, medium close ups, medium long shots, warm's eye view shot, wide shots, overhead shots and tilt movements.
Sound- music song.
Editing- slow motion at the end and keeps 180 degree rule.
Mise-en-scene- there are two locations: a park and outside a cafeteria. In my opinion, the main prop is the guitar as it adds realism because a guitar sound can be heard in the song. Clothing: the artist wears three different outfits. None of them emphasizes her body parts. However, they make the artist look stylish as the outfits are smart casual but perfectly relevant to the music video as it gives a sense of simplicity as well as artistic.
Representation: the artist is feminine but not showy or sexy in any way as mise-en-scene does a perfect contribution to make her look natural.
In my personal opinion, the music video goes perfectly with the song. It is aesthetic, artful and can absolutely be a music video from a real artist.
