We have learned three important definitions.
Cross promotional media is different media forms that work alongside each other to promote the same thing. For example, our artist.
Digipack is a CD package or art work that promotes the artist and the artist's album.
And a website is an internet page or platform that uses different visual images, links and code to promote the artist.
Each one of this group is meant to do one promotional package to our artist, River. The purpose of all of this promotional packages is to boost River, who is new in the music industry.
There are some important conventions we have to keep in mind when creating a digipack and a website.
What to expect on a digipack:
- Title of the album
- name of the artists and her image/synergy
- song list at the back
- colour scheme to suit genre
- leaflet containing album description
- barcode
- anti piracy
- font type
- parental advisory or rewars won by the artist
- graphic design
- record label
What to expect on a website:
- tour dates
- biography of the artist
- the artist's image
- pictures
- videos
- twitter feeds
- facebook timeline
- chat forum
- news
- albums
- subscriptions.
